Lifeguards – 2026 Summer Season

Spend your summer where the fun happens! The Hays Recreation Commission is now accepting applications for Lifeguards for the 2026 summer season at Hays Aquatic Park.

This is an excellent opportunity for motivated high school and college students seeking summer employment in a positive, team-oriented environment.

POSITION DETAILS

Schedule:
Monday – Saturday, 12:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Season runs Memorial Day Weekend through Mid-August
Minimum Age: 15 years old
Certification:
Applicants must be lifeguard certified or willing to obtain certification. (Certification training provided by HRC.)

PAY

$11–$13 per hour, depending on qualifications.
