HAYS, Kan. — The 2025 Hays Walk to End Alzheimer’s will officially launch its season with a Kickoff Party on Saturday, February 8, at 1:30 p.m. in the basement of Breathe Coffee House. This event is open to past walkers, new supporters, committee members, and anyone interested in joining the fight against Alzheimer’s.
The Kickoff Party is an opportunity for the community to come together, learn more about the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association, and find ways to get involved in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Attendees will hear inspiring stories, discover volunteer opportunities, and gain insight into how they can make a difference in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s.
Breathe Coffee House, a non-profit community space, has generously provided the venue at no charge. In appreciation of their support, attendees are encouraged to consider making a purchase or donation to support their mission.
“The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a movement,” said Leigh Purdy, 2025 Hays Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee Chair. “This kickoff event is a great way to bring people together, celebrate our past successes, and inspire new participation. Whether you’ve walked with us before or are looking for a meaningful way to give back, we invite you to join us.”
The Hays Walk to End Alzheimer’s is part of a nationwide effort to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. The event brings together teams, families, businesses, and individuals who are passionate about advancing the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
