High Plains Farm Credit also serves as the administrator of the Farm Credit Capital Group, a consortium of 13 Farm Credit System entities ($22BN+ in combined assets) which focuses on purchasing senior secured debt in the corporate food/ag, energy infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors. 
 
POSITION PURPOSE
High Plains Farm Credit is currently recruiting a Capital Markets – Loan Accountant to accurately execute the daily operations of the capital markets and participation department. The Capital Markets – Loan Accountant will facilitate workflow and processes throughout the Association and between lead lenders and purchasing partners to provide an exceptional customer experience at all levels.
 
JOB FUNCTIONS

• Initiates and maintains communications and collaboration internally and among participants.
• Answers lead bank and sub-participant inquiries and resolve issues by applying standard processes and procedures.
• Establishes and completes the necessary actions for large and complex loans.
• Develops and maintains processes to monitor quality and accuracy of the Participation Loan Portfolio including analyzing reconciliation reports.

• Associate’s degree in accounting, business or relevant field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Strong analysis, problem solving communication, data review, and computer skills.
• Knowledge and experience with basic accounting skills.
